  1. Click on the three dots ScreenHunter_118 Oct. 11 14.36 then settings
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the settings then click “show advanced settings”

Accessiblity options

  1. Find “Accessibility settings”
  2. Tick “Show accessibility options in the system menu”

Screen size

  1. Find “Device” then “Display settings”
  2. Set resolution to 1536×864
  3. Find “Web content” – set Page zoom to 125%

  • In Google Chrome:
  • Top right – 3 dots – Settings
  • Show advanced settings – Passwords and Forms
  • Manage passwords
  • In the “Never saved” list cross RM Unify
  • Next time you log into RM Unify – let Chrome save your password

This is only OK because you are logging in individually onto the Chromebooks so no one else can log into your account.  On other shared computers, eg at home, don’t save your passwords.

  1. Log into j2e
  2. Click on “My files”
  3. Click on the “calligrams” file to open it
  4. Use the tools in j2e5 to make the words come alive
  5. Try out as many tools as you can – BE CURIOUS
  6. Do some of your own words and ideas if you have time
  7. Don’t forget to save! (every 5 minutes)

In some ways, a search engine is like a well-trained dog. It will fetch what you want, but only if you use the right commands. Although single words are better commands for dogs, more words are better for search engines.

Go to Google Classroom and complete the activity.

Watch It’s a book by Lane Smith .  What advantages does it suggest that books have over the Internet?
