LF: Explore Google Forms

  1. Go to Google Drive
  2. Click NEW, More then Google forms
  3. Explore as many tools and options as you can, including:
    1. Naming the form
    2. Changing the theme
    3. Trying each question type
    4. Adding sections and titles

LF: Plan your research project

  1. Think about what you would be interested in finding out by doing a survey.  I can get children in Year 6 to complete the surveys.
  2. Think carefully about:
    1. What questions to ask
    2. Which type of question
    3. What data you want – words, sentences, numbers,…
    4. Do you need names?
  3. Design your form

Looking after data – by doing a survey, you have a responsibility to look after people’s information safely.  How do you think you should do this?

    1. Set size to 50%
    2. Make him always running

      1. forward with up arrow
      2. turn left and right with left/right arrows

    1. Make it follow the mouse
    2. Make it always the same way up

    1. Make it always spinning
    2. Make it move up down left right with the keys w, s, a, d
  4. Car
    1. Make it drive to and fro across the screen

LF3 Changing costumes

  1. Ball
    1. Duplicate the ball costume several times to make a popping animation
    2. Make it pop (change costumes) when the mouse pointer touches it
    3. Add a popping sound

    1. Make Avery walk left and right when g and h pressed
    2. Make Avery face correct direction and always walking

LF4 Share

  1. Click share
  2. In j2e my files, click your name, settings and refresh the scratch section
  3. Check your j2e file appears in my files

LF5 Gravity

  1. Make some steps
  2. Program Avery so that they fall down unless they are on the steps

LF 6 Firing

  1. Create a new sprite, eg bananas
  2. Make them follow the Scrath cat
  3. When you press space, fire the bananas in the direction it is pointing
  4. Make the car disappear if you fire a banana at it!

LF7 Make your own adaptations

  1. Use the sprites that you have set up so far and add some more code
  2. You could
    1. add sounds
    2. new controls
    3. new interactions between sprites
    4. be creative!

LF8  Plan a Scratch game

  1. Theme?
  2. Movement – what controls? keyboard? arrow keys? mouse position? mouse click?
  3. Background – how does it interact? maze, platforms…
  4. Sprites – how do they interact?
  5. Start t build your game – bit by bit, block by block…

LF1 Logging in and eSafety

  1. Go to prezi.com and log in with your school email
  2. If you have forgotten your Prezi password, follow the forgotten password instructions
  3. DO NOT enter your full name or add any personal details to your profile.
  4. MAKE SURE you keep your profile and prezis private.
  5. By using your school email, you are bound by your ICT agreement that you have signed
  6. You are not permitted to use your school email to sign up to anything else.

    6. Facts, content – keep it simple and in your own words

LF5 Embedding Prezi into j2e5 page

Here’s how to embed your Prezi in your j2e page:

  • In Prezi, click “present”
  • Underneath the Prezi, click “Embed”
  • Copy the code by pressing the button
  • Open you j2e “Prezi” page
  • Click on the “video/sound/embed” button then on the top option
  • Paste the Prezi embed code into the box
  • Click on your page to drop the Prezi there
  • Place and resize your Prezi on your page and save
